Rome Fiumicino Airport Terminal 3

Terminal 3 of Rome Airport (FCO) operates with domestic, Schengen and non-Schengen flights and handles flights of more than 76 airlines.

It is the largest terminal in Rome Airport and is well connected with the train.

It has been recently renovated, so it is very modern.

Levels

Fiumicino Terminal 3 consists of the three levels:

Arrival level

Arrivals area of Terminal 3 has 5 exits.

You can find a wide offer of food, drinks, shops, information desks, ATM machines, among others.

Access to the the baggage claim area, lost & found counters and transportation by escalators.

Departures level

Departures and check in area.

The Departures Area counts with 5 entrances to the check-in lobby, where there can be found some services such as the tourist information counter, the Special Assistance Lounge and an ATM machine.

Boarding area

To the right of Terminal 3, you will find check in rows 290 to 201 (273-290, 249-272, 225-248 and 201-224) which lead to gates B,C and D after customs and security check.

To the left of Terminal 3, you’ll find check-in rows 300-431 (300-326, 327-248, 349-373 and 374-431), which lead to E gates.

Some airline gates are located on floor 0, next to the shops area, whilst other airlines are located at the new International Boarding Area E.

International Boarding Area E (extra-Schengen boarding)

The new International Boarding Area E was opened in 2016 as a support for extra-Schengen flights adding 6 more million passengers to Rome Airport’s numbers.

It counts with an exclusive and luxury shopping gallery called “Made in Italy” with national products, which has also 40 outlets and 10 high-quality restaurants.

The shopping gallery, where a high amount of shops and restaurants are located. 

Distance inside the terminal

Distances in that terminal can be huge. Please, check walking times here: 

Walking times from security check to gates: 

Time to the farthest gates E1-61: 3 to 9 minutes. 

Transfer between terminals 

Terminals 1 and 3 are located within a short walk.

There are shuttles available to transfer between terminals too.
